I spent February in Blanca, Spain for an art residency with AADK Cruce. I pushed myself to research, explore and listen. Here are some photos from that time.
It is not without great weight I am traveling. It feels often frivolous and selfish. But, I am gathering information and learning. Working through my next steps on where to put my energy.
Being in Spain it is heavy in a way that’s hard to articulate. Visiting beautiful old churches, all I can think of is the murders and thefts carried out in what is now the Americas in the name of “god”.
Imperialism must end. We must all work together to create new systems. We need to dream, collaborate and fight.
